Birdhouse Mailbox

This is my recent update to my mailbox, 3 years ago my husband and I built our mailbox due to my undying urge to have a little whimsical element to our front yard. (please ignore the fact our house still needs to be painted)

On the left is what it looked like 3 years ago, right is our current beauty.

Reason for the update, everything in time especially in Florida the sun will tear up. So besides needing a new paint job, I also had to replace some rotting wood. Figured at this point, I mine as well change it up a little bit and add some molding for a more architectural classic feel.

So I also decided I really wanted it to have a more roof semi cottage feel and made my own stencil using my cricut and laminate sheets to cut the stencil out on.  So I first painted it with a copper hammer color and then proceed to the stencil.

Then, I was like hrmm ok.. So I really wanted to add some other design elements such as cathedral windows, something to dress the front up, add my maiden and current last name, a cute welcome message, and our address number sign. All of those elements were added with permanent oracle #651 vinyl, this stuff amazes me of all the things you can do with it!
