I repainted my $2 thrift store candle holders, and I had to make some candles to go with them .
I think they turned out cute?
So I already had a stash of plain pillar candles from Walmart, which equals to less than $ 3 for each candle. Then I always seem to have tissue paper from Dollar Tree. All you need to do is find an image or make your image and add your words. Take a piece of Card stock (usually buy mine from Hobby Lobby when its on sale 50 % off) and attach Tissue paper using tape, to tape the edges so it doesn't jam up your printer.
Once you have your image cut out on tissue paper you will need your candle and a hair drier. Place the image where you would like it, and start to melt your image into the wax.
Takes a little bit of patience but totally worth it in the end. They make beautiful personalized gifts for friends, or add some seasonal interest to your area .
